The first floor offers interactive exhibitions on how to take precaution to fire danger. The tour includes a one hour visit to an apartment that is equipped with black lights and safe smoke. Hell’s Hundred Acre is a region that is well known for the highest count of death caused by fire. The tour is led by retired FDNY personnel. The tour lasts for 4 – 5 hours. Some of the interesting features of the tour include a visit to the Engine 31, and five places that are most vulnerable to fire. A visit to the St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Ground Zero is included in the tour. The guide will also bring the visitors to the 911 museum. Each tour consists of a minimum of 10 people. When the tour ends, the guide will lead the visitors back to the New York City Fire Museum.
